Build A Better Blog Day 21: Conduct A Policy Review

This was my first WTH question to Darren. Policy for a blog? Oh hell YES!

Darren goes into all the legality that made me a bit confused until he explained it at the very end. He didn't make it sexy, so I am.

Here's why policies are sexy~

       1. Policies help keep decisions easy when you have situations come up.
       2. Policies protect you from making blunders.
       3. Policies help you stay consistent.

Policies are blog condoms. For the safety of you and your readers, put some on. Here are some policies to think about~

Do you respond to all comments good or bad?
Do you allow all comments good or bad?
Do you approve comments?
Do you have a copyright policy?
Do you allow ads?
Do you allow fellow bloggers to post on your behalf?

The Origin of "Nose Droppings"

Hello and welcome!

Professional marketers rally to brand yourself. A single focus on which you can hone your message that is effective for connecting. For this reason alone, I am a marketing nightmare.

I am not one thing but many. I can't write my novel and not let horses creep their way into my stories. I can't work on my marketing efforts without applying what I learn to relationships. I am not just about dressage. I am not just about marketing. I don't just focus on writing or my relationships. Hiking with my dog is also very big part of who I am and to wrap that all up is why I consider myself a hiking dressage trainer that writes.

I don't do just one thing so my brand seems to be a craptastic load of things. You see this is where it's all mixed-up and blown into the world. This is me. I am my brand.

This is where I share embarrassing moments or rants that I don't really want you to share with anyone else. This is where I share me.
