All A Guy Wants Is...

I use to believe that guys only wanted from women was sex.  When I ask certain questions, ones that pry deep into ones psychology , I sometimes come against this shield.  Believe me, the age old saying that men just want sex is a shield.

Yes, it's true guys want it but most men secretly desire more.

Men are amazing because in their deep core they know what they want.  The problem is getting to that core and understanding their needs.  A great woman can help them find their purpose or define it to greater depth but not dig for it then present it to the guy.  A great woman knows she is a catalyst, not a purpose.

Conversely, women  don't know what they want and have to examine everything before they actually understand what they want.  A great man can show her.  A great man understands he can show and tell her but it's up to her to see and listen.

I understand the need to be understood but at the same time it's frightening when someone understands you because that means they have a way to manipulate you.

So many people are frightened when someone understands them too much.  You feel exposed and instead of basking in the sunlight nude, you cover yourself and jump for a bush. This is what I'm talking about when I say men throw up the sex shield.

There are women who know this is half true and half smoke screen.  Others believe the only thing a guy wants is...

If that were true, men would never marry.  They'd be on the prowl or pay for it.  A great woman knows that she brings the answer to a guy asking, "Why am I doing this?"  She observes his life and is his cheerleader, confidant, moral booster, ice queen and yes--sex slave.

A great woman knows a guy goes with his gut and doesn't know the words for what he's feeling.  She uses intuition to read the words behind the meaning and knows when there is no other meaning in the words.  She understands the difference between, "Hey baby invite me upstairs." (I only want sex) and "I'd like to see you again." (I'm kinna interested in where this goes!)

So when you think men only want sex, know your only half right.

Not A Vacation Day

No new posts.  I'm still pouting over my cousins departure.  I'll write again when I feel like it.  *Proceeding to temper tantrum*

Vacation 2012 Day 7

Warning: This is family vacation week here on Nose Droppings.  Next week will have the usual dregs of thoughts picked especially for special hell.  For the next five days however, it will be the gushing of my lovely family.  My journal, my topics.

Today was Venice Beach Day!  Ivy took 3rd street by storm and after that was devoured we went to Venice and destroyed that...(expletive here).

Coleson took advantage of learning how to improve his game from a coach that Rett brought in for his team.

It was our last day together and a good one!  I lost my last thumb wrestle match with Coleson, instructed Ivy how to get the green out of her hair, and played balloon swords with Slater and Diesel.  Yeah it was a good day.  It was a good week!

Coleson and Ivy go home tomorrow via Rett & crew so today was our last day to see the kids.  The week went by...waiter, may I have another? Dang!  All out of vacation.

Vacation 2012 Day 6

Warning: This is family vacation week here on Nose Droppings.  Next week will have the usual dregs of thoughts picked especially for special hell.  For the next five days however, it will be the gushing of my lovely family.  My journal, my topics.

More "pool" time today!  Actually, it was a Hurricane Harbor Day!  I  woke early, went over to Mom & Dad's house, had breakfast with everybody and we cruised on over to Valencia.  After picking up Rett and the boys, we cruised over to Six Flags and rode wave pools, water slides and The River water way.

The day's completion was dinner at M&D's house with a game of Mexican Train that I could not complete.  Yes, I had to go home to sleep!  Now, I'm writing about sleep and will zzzzzzz.

Vacation 2012 Day 5

Warning: This is family vacation week here on Nose Droppings.  Next week will have the usual dregs of thoughts picked especially for special hell.  For the next five days however, it will be the gushing of my lovely family.  My journal, my topics.

Franny--don't freak, that's ROOT beer.

Today's extra curriculum activities were in the swimmy pool!  Family celebrated Slater & Diesel's birthday at the Hick's resident clubhouse.  I did not get incriminating pictures of Coleson because I was in the water during those escapades!

Really Coleson and Ivy are some of the best kids ever!  It was awesome to look over and see a cousin to my right and left.

Coleson bestowed a graduation card to Lauren upon arrival--so Frany/David~card delivered.

That was it.  A whole lot of swimming, eating cupcakes, In-N-Out burger and drinking fluids (not just pool water).

Vacation 2012 Day 4

Sea World!  We saw: Clyde & Seymore SLL show, Blue Horizons dolphin show, and One Ocean Shamu show.

We pet Bat Rays and I found out they continuously filter water for air.  I could feel it as I pet one in the exhibit.  As I reached for him it felt like this force field around his head and I realized it was the current he made with his "lungs".

Dolphins at Dolphin Point WILL splash you for fun.  You will get wet.  The turtles at Turtle Reef are very clean due to the fish that eat the algae off their shells.  Penguin's at Penguin Encounter is the place to be on a hot day!  They keep that place freezing.  Wild Arctic exhibit is fairly cool too and they have Beluga whales, polar bears, and walrus.  Of course the Shark Encounter was awesome!  So many sharks.

The highlight was to see Coleson and Ivy at lunch!  Rett absconded with the pair most the day but I'd say meeting with the trainers at Sea World is something you'd better not miss~and that's where he took them after lunch.

Sea World does some wonderful things to help restore human mistakes that effect animals around the globe.  Remember to conserve, recycle and be mindful of those we live with.  Not just other people but wildlife either swimming in the ocean, flying high or roaming land.  The rule of you break it you buy it applies.

Vacation 2012 Day 3

Warning: This is family vacation week here on Nose Droppings.  Next week will have the usual dregs of thoughts picked especially for special hell.  For the next five days however, it will be the gushing of my lovely family.  My journal, my topics.

Today was supposed to be a writing day.  It turned out to be an everything but writing day.  Sleep-in, lunch, riding Gunny, walking Emma, and chores for tomorrow's trip was more like it!

The highlights of my day were, my ride with Gunny and my walk with Emma.  Rides with Gunny are always memorable.  He's 20 hands and solid.  I went back to Deukjian Park and Emma & I took a 2 mile trail.  Pretty sunset and a very nice park!  Now getting ready for tomorrow's excursions at Sea World.

Vacation 2012 Day 2

Warning: This is family vacation week here on Nose Droppings.  Next week will have the usual dregs of thoughts picked especially for special hell.  For the next five days however, it will be the gushing of my lovely family.  My journal, my topics.

Today was the meeting of 2nd cousins.  I arrived at my brother's house by noon.  It was the relaxing day promised to the two weary travelers.  If you count running around with two almost 5 year old twins relaxing.  I found it fun and entertaining.

Coleson was born two weeks apart from Ally, and Sam was born two weeks apart from Ivy.  Mom wanted to make sure they met, and they did!  Alley already has a trip planned to go to Virginia.

We had pool time, and hang-out time.  Slater caught sight of his birthday gift and I gave the boys their gifts early.  I barely managed to get out of the house without being accosted with silly string.

Vacation 2012 Day 1

Warning: This is family vacation week here on Nose Droppings.  Next week will have the usual dregs of thoughts picked especially for special hell.  For the next five days however, it will be the gushing of my lovely family.  My journal, my topics.

Today was the day Rett, Mom, Diesel & Slater picked up Ivy & Coleson from the airport.  We picked them up and whisked them to Starbucks to have time with their cousin Scott and his lovely wife.

I then twisted Scott's arm to come with us to lunch and all had a great time.  Proceeding to discussions with Diesel & Slater about seagull poo, we discovered with DW's ever expanding knowledge, that bird poo is expelled with pressure.

That got us on the topic of beaches and after Yankee Doodles 3rd street promenade lunch, we went to Santa Monica.  Beach, gymnastic entertainment provided by Ivy, Coleson entertaining Diesel & Slater left Mom and I to point and laugh.

During which time Rett was wheeling and dealing on the phone.  After a roller coaster ride on the Santa Monica Pier we went to Gladstones for fish meeting up with Dad and the famous therapy dog, Neo.  Hence, the family photo with Neo!
The day was done after that, Coleson & Ivy went with Rett, Slater & Diesel to sleep.  Mom took me home and here I am writing about the day!

BTW--for you super-skinny boys out there thinking that Ivy is a gorgeous country girl, she is, but don't wear the skinny jeans.  You won't impress her.

Celebrate Freedom

I really don't know what to say other than thank you.  Thank you to those who fight for freedom.  Not just soldiers who physically, actually fight for the literal freedom, but others who still hold up the same value that they don't live for me and I don't live for them.

I don't want another to live for me.  I don't want another to pay my wage unearned.  I don't want to be taken care of by you.  There is only a certain amount one can govern me before I will kill or commit suicide.  I know this by first-hand account.

Replace the word "help" with "control".  How many times have you heard, "I just want to help you."  When I hear that, I run.  Conversely, I don't want to live for another.  I don't want to pay your wage unearned.  I don't want to take care of you.

When I say wage, you think green dollar bills, but a mother earns her wage and doesn't see money.  A nurse takes care of patients but she's earned her pay.  These two professions don't give or take anything, they earn it.

Even my dog earns her living.  She's my personal trainer, encourager and reminder to get off my ass.  She can out run me, has more stamina than me, she keeps me moving.  She's my doorbell, pizza announcer, dishwasher and adoring fan.  She's only $100/monthly.  How much is your personal trainer?  Does he clean your dishes "redneck" style?

My cat is the exterminator.  Once a month she gets rid of at least one rat, squirrel, rodent and she's a great mop too.  Oh and that's her night job.  During the day she feeds and cleans five kittens.  She's only $50/month and doesn't ask me for anything but food and water.

My boyfriend is "world" informer, sparring partner, hug-o-meter, lunch maker, social alibi and trust me, he's paid for.  Money doesn't buy him, but other things do.

These things are earned.  When you start thinking I need to pay for your healthcare, that it's owed to you, are you willing to accept or trust the resentment your neighbor will have when you get cancer and he has to pay for it.  People might think they are better off if your dead.

You might think that extreme but when you remove the value that I don't live for you and you don't live for me, what would you expect?  We are survival creatures and if you continue to make it more difficult to survive, then expect those survival instincts to come out swinging.  Men are not ants.  People were designed to think for themselves. When you take the brain away, expect an animal.

To any left to think for themselves and those that stand up for it, Happy 4th of July.
